The video for any song that features Dua Lipa, Missy Elliott, and Madonna is bound to be fashion-filled, but “Levitating”, the latest track from Lipa’s Club Future Nostalgia remix disc, goes above and beyond.

The Will Hooper-directed clip brings the album’s retro rave theme to life with trippy visuals, bright colours, and a wealth of runway goodies chosen by stylists Lorenzo Posococco and June Ambrose. Clad in the best of the autumn/winter 2020 collections from the moment she appears on screen, Lipa is electrifying. 

With her hair dyed hot pink for the occasion and a pair of borrowed-from-the-boys Martine Rose logo-print PJ pants, she glides through an apartment filled with analog recorders.

Naturally, it isn’t a Dua Lipa outfit without a little sex appeal, and a python bodysuit added the right amount of e-girl energy.

For the outside scenes with boyfriend, Anwar Hadid, Lipa switched things up with a sailor-inspired Miu Miu knit bodysuit.

Worn on the runway by Hadid’s sister, Bella, the revealing piece caused a stir during Paris Fashion Week. Navy with white stripes and a Peter Pan collar, it coordinated with Hadid’s comparatively low key T-shirt and jeans.
